Canada’s Master Illusionists
Murray Hatfield and Teresa have entertained audience around the globe, sharing their unique brand of magic and illusion from London to Singapore and from New Zealand to Japan. They combine incredible magic with state-of-the-art illusions for a show that is powerful, compelling and instantly memorable.
This past year has seen them travel across Canada and the US and as far away as Italy. They were guest stars at Magi-Fest ‘09 - one of America’s largest annual magic conferences in Columbus, Ohio, where Murray also lectured to magicians from around the world. Teresa was honored this year by being named “Assistant of the Year” for the second time by the Society of American Magicians Chapter 95; and both Murray and Teresa were awarded a presidential citation by the president of the International Brotherhood of Magicians—the largest organization of magicians in the world.
This year Murray and Teresa (together with their talented dancers) are thrilled to be able to offer a number of new effects and illusions including the INSTANANEOUS APPEARANCE of Teresa at centre stage, The North American premiere of COMPRESSION—a brand new illusion being constructed for Murray & Teresa in the UK, and the return of ORIGAMI where Teresa is folded up into a 1 foot cube, Murray will perform a first by causing a member of the audience to FLOAT IN THE AIR.

Take one part Tim Burton, one part Cirque Du Soleil, one part Houdini with a twist of the bizarre and you have Dan Sperry. Three time winner of the Award of Merit from the International Brotherhood of Magicians, one of the youngest magicians to headline the Magic Castle in Hollywood, California, awarded as an International Champion by the World Magic Seminar in Las Vegas when he was 17, and is the youngest magician to be featured in The World's Greatest Magic Show in Las Vegas: Dan Sperry is not your average magician.
Thousands from coast to coast and international stages and television have seen Dan’s dramatic and theatrical style as he’s taken the magic world by storm. He combines classic sleight of hand and manipulation, theatrical illusion, together with a little bit of the bizarre to bring a new and refreshing look and style to an old art form.

He's Back for More!
In the 20 years that I’ve been involved with Magic ‘n Miracles one guest performer has been remembered, discussed, and talked about more than any other. It’s taken a decade but—he’s back!
Starting out in his hometown of Toronto, Marty Putz began his career in comedy playing small clubs. His unique brand of physical and visual comedy quickly caught on, taking him to sold out houses as far as London and Australia. Marty combines bizarre props together with his loveable wit for an act that is absolutely unforgettable.
He has made numerous appearances on television including Just for Laughs, the Emmy Award winning kids show “Not Just News”, “Comic Strip Live”, “Make Me Laugh” and “The Tonight Show” with Jay Leno. Marty was also the creator and producer of the critically acclaimed series - “The Tournament” on CBC Television.

Aaron Melanson
Aaron Melanson - A.K.A BBoy Aplus - was born and raised in Edmonton Alberta and moved to Calgary in 1997. It was there he began break-dancing, eventually joining Original Rudes Crew. He joined GX international in 2004 - a performing team of Break Dancers, Hip Hop Dancers, Skaters, BMX and DJs. Aaron’s break-dancing has taken him around the world to Holland, Australia, Ukraine, Belize and the U.S.A. He uses his break-dance as a tool to travel the world teaching youth how to live positive healthy lifestyles and looks forward to many years of break excellence.

Kendra Melanon
Originally from Saskatoon, Kendra Melanson - A.K.A BGirl Quest - began dancing at the tender age of 4. She trained in Ukrainian dance for 15 years, eventually performing with the Polvychenko Folkloric Ensemble. In 2002 she was ready for change and began to Break-dance with J-Fish Floor Crew, eventually blending her skills in dance and breaking into a powerful Hip Hop style. Kendra joined GX International in 2002 and has since performed in the Ukraine, Holland, Australia, Denmark, Norway, U.S.A, India, Belize and New Zealand. Her goal is excellence in dance to bring her to a level of influencing fellow dancers and youth to live positive healthy lifestyles.

Kurtis Preston
Kurtis Preston has made his name in the dance world as a unique bboy with a hard edge. Combining explosive power and original technique he has developed his own unique style. He has been featured on “So You Think You Can Dance Canada” for both seasons, and made it to the finals in Toronto both times! Judge Mia Michaels even raved that Kurt was her favourite break-dancer. Kurtis has been competing across the country in national competitions as well as performing with artists including Meastro, Talib Kweli, and Mos Def. Kurt is glad to be returning to Magic N’ Miracles.

Magdalaina Tamasik
Magdalaina Tamasik was born in Calgary where her parents were principal dancers with the Calgary City Ballet. She later moved to Powell River were she trained in ballet and jazz from the age of 5 both at her father’s studio and then her mother’s studio. Magdalaina now lives in Victoria were she has been training in jazz, modern, hip-hop & ballet since the age of 18. She has performed in competitions, fundraisers, stage shows & festivals and won numerous awards and dance scholarships. She also danced with a hip-hop/jazz group called " The Industry" in clubs, fashion shows & festivals. Magdalaina did a number of shows with Murray & Teresa this year in both Canada and the United States, and she is pleased to be returning to Magic 'n Miracles for a second year.
